At Shipex, we believe that the safety of the crew on board and at land is of utmost importance, unfortunately there have been a number of serious incidents with hazardous cargoes on board container vessels lately.

It is a fact that hazardous cargo is often wrongly declared or not declared at all at time of booking (ie cars being loaded in containers) and we would like to remind you that this practice is absolutely forbidden as the consequences may be inconceivable

Due to these recent incidents shipping lines have started to impose fines for mis-declaration of hazardous cargo, amounting to 25.000 euro per container.

Please be informed that all hazardous details need to be send to Shipex latest on the day before the container is being positioned at the loading place.
