{"id":3753,"date":"2019-10-22T10:47:02","date_gmt":"2019-10-22T09:47:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shipex.be\/?p=3753"},"modified":"2019-10-22T10:48:38","modified_gmt":"2019-10-22T09:48:38","slug":"customs-document","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shipex.be\/en\/customs-document\/","title":{"rendered":"Compulsory registration of a customs document"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<h3>Compulsory registration of a customs document<\/h3>\r\n<!-- <a href=\"https:\/\/shipex.be\/en\/\" title=\"\"><\/a>\r\n\t\t -->\r\n<p>HOME <strong title=\"Compulsory registration of a customs document\">Compulsory registration of a customs document<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>We would like to inform you that the Belgian Customs have requested the ocean carriers in Antwerp &amp; Zeebrugge to refuse to load on board any container without a valid customs document.<\/p>\r\n<p>In order to avoid your container from being blocked on terminal &#8211; with all its financial consequences \u2013 a valid customs document needs to be registered in C-POINT (former eBalie\/APCS) on the <strong>container closing date<\/strong> which is mentioned on our booking confirmation.<\/p>\r\n<p>Any violation will result in a customs fine of \u20ac 5000 to \u20ac 7500, revocation of your AEO permit and even criminal prosecution.<\/p>\r\n<p>The aim is not to slow down or obstruct the logistics chain, but the outgoing process of goods has gained in importance with the Union\u2019s Customs Code (UCC) and therefore additional measures are required.<\/p>\r\n<p>In order to give everyone the opportunity to adapt its (internal) processes, this measure will be enforced with effect from <strong>1<sup>st<\/sup> January 2020<\/strong>.
