Maar\u00a0Kokken, sinds kort bij expediteur Shipex aan de slag, heeft geen spijt van zijn keuze.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>De 23-jarige\u00a0Kokken\u00a0kwam onlangs in vaste dienst bij het expeditiebedrijf, nadat hij er eerst een half jaar ad interim had gewerkt. \u201cIk leerde het bedrijf kennen tijdens het werk aan mijn masterproef\u201d, vertelt\u00a0Kokken. \u201cToen al had ik het idee dat ik er graag zou willen werken.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>Christophe opteerde voor een major in logistiek en transport. \u201cToen ik aan Toegepaste Economische Wetenschappen (TEW) begon, was dat nog met het idee om in de klassieke bank- of verzekeringssector te gaan werken. Maar via mijn schoonvader werd mijn interesse in de logistieke sector gewekt.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<h4>Gebruiksvriendelijke systemen<\/h4>\r\n<p>Tijdens zijn studie had\u00a0Kokken\u00a0zowel zijn bachelor- als zijn masterproef opgezet rond het gebruik van nieuwe technologie\u00ebn. \u201cBij Shipex leeft die interesse heel sterk\u201d, weet\u00a0Kokken.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cWe zijn volop bezig om gebruiksvriendelijker systemen op te zetten, ook voor onze klanten. Het meewerken aan die systemen is een deel van mijn job. Tegelijk ben ik ook documentation officer.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<h4>Breder plaatje<\/h4>\r\n<p>Van zijn keuze heeft\u00a0Kokken\u00a0nog geen moment spijt gehad. \u201cJe krijgt inzicht in het bredere plaatje, in die keten van honderden bedrijven die maken\u00a0dat goederen op de juiste plek terechtkomen. Dat kluwen doorgronden boeit me enorm. Het helpt dan wel dat je weet hoe een haven werkt, hoe de processen in de andere bedrijven in de keten verlopen. Bovendien is de haven een plek waar je je door ervaring kunt opwerken.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8220;Ik zou iedereen aanraden om een major in transport en logistiek te volgen.
